This kit is used to develop peripherals that run on the PCI bus.   There are 2 ways of developing a peripheral to run on the PCI bus. 

a) use an old ISA bus card plugged into the top connector on this board. Then you can develop all your drivers and use the schematic of this board with your hardware.

b)breadboard prototype developed in the breadboard area of this boardl
